Nadia Kahnauth is Of Counsel to The Jagan Law Firm, PLLC in our Commercial and Real Estate/Business Law Group. She concentrates her practice on providing general business advice and corporate legal services to private companies and individuals in a wide variety of business matters including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, contract negotiation, drafting and review, real estate transactions, entity selection and formation matters for emerging businesses, including owner control and buy-sell arrangements, corporate and commercial finance, commercial lending, loan workouts, secured transactions, mortgage foreclosure and short sale transactions.
Ms. Kahnauth has extensive knowledge in real estate development, real estate finance, real estate lending, asset management, asset purchase and sales, commercial leasing, mixed-use development, and planned communities, including condominium ownership and cooperatives.
She serves as Lead Counsel to Newtek Small Business Finance, LLC, where she represents the country’s largest non-bank lender, a publicly-traded company on the NASDAQ, in commercial transactions under the SBA 7(a) loan program for the past five years. In her representation of Newtek, she closes small business loans which finance real estate purchases, business acquisitions, debt refinance, leasehold improvements, and machinery and equipment purchases throughout the country.
A Little Bit About Nadia…
Her previous employment includes Kopel & Spinner, LLP, where she represented the Asset Management divisions of prominent commercial lenders in their financing to high net worth individuals in various residential and commercial transactions throughout the country and Gerald Gardner Wright, P.C. where she worked in a general practice representing individuals and businesses in various matters including real estate transactions, matrimonial matters, trusts and estates, guardianships, traffic infractions and minor criminal offenses.
She earned her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University Honors College with a major in English and minor in Business Law.
Nadia Kahnauth credits her successes in the law to her parents who are immigrant entrepreneurs who have reached new heights in America. She looks forward to enhancing and serving her community.
